Candy Cane Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Add egg and vanilla; mix one minute.
    Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix for one minute. Mix half of dough with red food coloring.
    Chill well before using.
    Roll one of each color into a snake roll with floured hands.
    Twist the 2 colors together and shape into a candy cane. Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
    Makes about 30 cookies.
