Butter Bud Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream the butter and brown sugar.
Add the well beaten eggs. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add to egg mixture with vanilla.
Mix. Roll into small balls and press with fork. Place 1/2 cherry on top of each cookie.
Bake on greased cookie sheet in moderate oven until brown.
