Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oleo
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    3 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 c. finely chopped nuts (optional)
    grated lemon peel from 2 lemons
    juice of 2 lemons
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream oleo; gradually add sugar.
    Cream well.
    Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Blend together the dry ingredients; add egg yolks alternately with milk.
    Blend just to mix.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, nuts and lemon peel.
    Turn into 3 medium size loaf pans, greased and floured.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
