Oatmeal Bread(Very Light, Excellent Toasted And Great With Cheese) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast (1 Tbsp.)
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    4 or 5 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal and add molasses, salt and shortening. Let stand until lukewarm, then add yeast mixture and beat well.
    Add enough flour to make a stiff mixture without being too sticky.
    Form into a large soft ball.
    Cover and let rise until twice the original size. Make sure it is placed in a dry warm place.
