Fresh Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. grated apples
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. pecans
    1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Add apples and pecans.
    Stir in dry ingredients; stir in vanilla and buttermilk.
    Put in loaf pan.
    Sprinkle 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon over batter.
    Bake 1 hour.
