Raw Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. chopped, raw apples, cored (not pared)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix the flour, baking soda and salt.
    Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Beat well.
    Blend in flour mixture.
    Blend in rest of ingredients.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan.
    Mix 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon; sprinkle over top of dough.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 60 minutes or until done.
