Carrot Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shredded carrots
    2 c. flour
    nuts to taste
Preparation
    In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
    Mix in egg.
    Add remaining ingredients and beat well.
    Press mixture into desired cookie shapes and place on large, flat cookie sheet.
    Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
