Virginia Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. boiling water
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix the following ingredients in the same pan in which it is to be baked:
    corn meal, sugar and salt.
    In a hole in the middle, put the shortening.
    Over this, pour the boiling water and mix well.
    Add the eggs, milk and baking powder; stir well.
    Stand pan in hot water and bake at 350\u00b0.
