Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. orange juice concentrate
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raw cranberries
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients and cut in shortening until like coarse cornmeal.
    Combine juice and rind with egg.
    Mix at high speed until foamy and add to dry mix.
    Mix just enough to dampen. Carefully fold in chopped nuts and cranberries.
    Spread in loaf pan, corners and sides a little higher than center.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0 or until toothpick comes out clean.
    Remove from pan to cool.
    Tastes better if stored a couple of days.
