Virginia Box Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast (1/4 oz.)
2/3 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
2 eggs, beaten
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
5 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted and cooled
3 1/4 to 3 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water.
Add eggs, sugar, salt, butter and 2 cups flour.
Beat until smooth.
Add enough flour to form a soft dough.
Turn out onto a floured surface.
Knead until smooth and elastic, about 6 to 8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.
Punch the dough down.
