Meltaway Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. sifted Softasilk
1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Mix thoroughly butter, sugar and vanilla. Sift flour and salt; stir in.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet (cookies do not spread).
Bake for about 8 minutes until set, but not brown.
Watch.
While warm, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
(I do not.) Makes 5 dozen cookies the size of a quarter.
