Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
scant tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. shortening (1 c. Crisco plus 2 Tbsp. butter plus 2 Tbsp. Crisco)
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Add 1 1/4 cups shortening. Mix as for pie crust.
Add 2 beaten eggs, milk and vanilla.
Mix well.
Roll out on floured pastry cloth as thinly as you can.
Use spatula to transfer to greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for about 6 minutes.
