Date-Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. snipped dates
1 slightly beaten egg
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. dairy sour cream
1/4 c. light molasses
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Stir in rolled oats, walnuts and dates.
Combine the beaten egg, sugar, sour cream and molasses.
Beat well. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Place in 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf dish.
Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from dish and cool on rack. Cut in thin slices to serve.
Makes 1 loaf.
