Ingredients

1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Mix egg, sugar and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add to the first mix. When it's smooth, add the walnuts.
In a baking pan, 9 x 13-inch, pour the batter and bake for 25 minutes in a 375\u00b0 oven until it gets brown but the center is still soft.
Cut into small pieces.
Makes 30 cookies.
