1 c. butter (room temperature)
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 large eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
3 to 4 Tbsp. raspberry jam
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.
In another bowl, stir together flour and salt.
Gradually add to butter mixture; blend thoroughly. In a small bowl, lightly beat egg whites.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Dip ball into egg whites then roll in walnuts.
Push thumb in center and fill with jam.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
