Persimmon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. persimmon pulp with 1 tsp. soda dissolved in it
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raisins, seeded
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    dash of salt
    1 egg
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening; beat egg and add to pulp mixture.
    Then add to sugar mixture.
    Into flour, add spices, nuts and raisins.
    Blend into sugar mixture.
    Drop onto greased cookie sheets by teaspoon and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 8 minutes or until golden brown.
