Irish Sweet Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    6 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/4 Tbsp. caraway seed
    1 c. seedless raisins
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Blend in butter or margarine to resemble corn meal.
    Add raisins.
    Mix beaten eggs and milk; add. Stir until blended.
    Turn onto lightly floured board; knead for 2 minutes.
    Pat to fit a 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350\u00b0; bake for 30 minutes.
    Reserve 1 teaspoon of egg white; brush on top after you make the cross on top.
