Ingredients

2 egg whites
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate morsels (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add salt and cream of tartar and beat until stiff.
Add sugar 2 tablespoons at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Add chocolate morsels, if desired.
