Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
2 c. granulated sugar
2 1/2 c. margarine (5 sticks)
4 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. coconut (optional)
Preparation

Cream the sugars and margarine.
Add eggs; sift and add salt, baking powder, soda and flour.
Mix well and add oatmeal, nuts and chocolate chips.
Add coconut, if desired.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
