3/4 c. Crisco
1 1/4 c. light brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda; mix into creamed mixture until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
