Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c sugar
    1/2 c dark corn syrup
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    1 inch square of paraffin
    2 c pecans
    2 tsp soda
Preparation
    Microwave first 3 ingredients on High for 3 minutes. Then grate paraffin in mixture and stir until melted.
    Stir in 2 cups pecans mix well.
    Microwave on High for 7-12 minutes.
    Checking often to make sure nuts don't burn.
    Remove and add soda quickly stir and pour on greased cookie sheet.
