Ingredients

1 c. butter (do not substitute)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter, sugars and eggs.
Stir in flour, cinnamon and soda.
Add pecans and mix well.
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and press dough together, patting and shaping to a rectangle, approximately 1/2-inch thick.
Cover with wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
(A double batch usually covers the entire sheet.)
