Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 c. sugar, granulated
    1/2 c. unsalted shortening
    1 1/2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream shortening and the vanilla or lemon extract.
    Gradually add the sugar and cream well.
    Add the beaten eggs; then add the sifted flour.
    Roll out thinly on a lightly floured board; sprinkle with granulated sugar.
    Cut with a cookie cutter and bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 8 to 10 minutes.
