Caramel Nut Slices - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. soft shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Mix ingredients
well;
form
into
2 rolls, 2 inches in diameter.
Wrap
in
waxed paper and chill.
Heat oven to 400\u00b0. Cut slices 1/8 inches thick.
Place a little apart on ungreased baking sheet;
bake
8
to
10 minutes until set, but not hard. Makes 6 dozen.
