Zucchini "Apple Pie" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced zucchini
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    dash of salt and nutmeg
    1 (9-inch) 2-crust pastry
Preparation
    Peel and cut zucchini lengthwise.
    Remove seeds and cut in slices.
    Cook until barely tender.
    Drain and place in ice cold water 5 minutes.
    Drain thoroughly.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Stir in lemon juice.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Dot with butter.
    Cover with top crust.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until crust is brown.
