Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. mixed light and dark raisins
1/2 c. dates, chopped
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. and 2 tsp. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Pour boiling water over raisins, dates, butter and baking soda.
Let stand.
Mix flour, sugar and salt; add to fruit mixture.
Add remaining ingredients; beat well.
Pour into greased bread pan (1 regular or 2 small).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes.
