Irish Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 to 3 Tbsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Soak raisins in water until plump.
    Mix everything together. Heat oven at 350\u00b0.
    Separate mixture into two pieces and place on pie plates lined with aluminum foil.
    Bake about 1 hour and 30 minutes or until well done in center.
    You can add some green food coloring to mixture before baking if you would like green Irish bread.
    Makes 2 loaves of bread.
