3/4 c. butter flavored crisco
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies.
Combine crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
Beat until well blended.
Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
Mix into creamed mixture just until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by rounded tablespoons 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
DO NOT OVERBAKE.
Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
Remove cookies to foil to cool completely.
