Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together the dry ingredients.
Cream the shortening, peanut butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients with milk.
(It is best not to add all dry ingredients at once.)
Drop by rounded teaspoonful on an ungreased cookie sheet. Dip a fork in water to make a lattice design on the cookies.
Bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until slightly browned on the bottom.
