Brown Sugar Square Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Preparation

Stir together (do not beat) the egg, brown sugar and vanilla. Quickly stir in flour, soda and salt. Blend in walnuts.
Spread in greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
You may have to wet fingers and press dough to fit entire pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or longer. Top should be lightly browned, but soft in center when taken from oven. Cool in pan, then cut into squares.
