Chocolate Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cocoa
Preparation
    Mix
    thoroughly the shortening, sugar and egg.
    Stir in the buttermilk
    and
    vanilla.
    Sift
    together
    and stir in the flour, baking
    soda,
    salt
    and cocoa.
    Chill at least 1 hour. Drop by spoonful on a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to
    10 minutes.
    When cool, frost with your favorite creamy frosting. Makes 3 dozen.
