Ingredients

1/2 c. oleo
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Thoroughly cream oleo, peanut butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Press five peanut halves atop each or crisscross with fork.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 4 dozen.
