Ingredients

1 lb. butter, softened
2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
6 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. chocolate chips (I prefer white chocolate)
2 c. chopped nuts (Macadamia nuts are good, optional)
Preparation

Cream together butter and sugars.
Beat in vanilla.
Add eggs and beat 3 to 4 minutes. Mix together flour, salt and soda. Then add to creamed mixture.
Mixture should be sticky and dry.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by small scoops on waxed paper and bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing.
