Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening (25% less fat Crisco)
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    3/4 c. mashed bananas
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until light.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Stir in bananas.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to banana mixture until well blended.
    Add nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
