Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. persimmon pulp, mixed with 1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nutmeats
1/2 c. dates or raisins
Preparation

Cream together the sugar and butter.
Add egg, persimmon pulp mixture and vanilla.
Sift the flour, spices and salt over the egg mixture.
Mix in the nutmeats and dates.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 325\u00b0.
