English Muffin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. unsifted flour
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    cornmeal to sprinkle on top
Preparation
    Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda. Heat milk and water until very warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0).
    Add to dry ingredients and beat well.
    Stir in remaining 3 cups flour to make batter stiff.
    Spoon into 2 loaf pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal.
    Cover and let rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Remove from pans and cool.
