Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
Preparation

Beat together
shortening
and 1 cup of the sugar until light and fluffy.
Add
eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Sift
dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to sugar mix, beating well after each addition.
Add nuts and lemon rind.
