Strawberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. flour (plain)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
3/4 c. pecans
1/2 tsp. lime juice
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. strawberries
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. milk

Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening; add eggs and milk.
Beat until almost liquid.
Add dry ingredients.
Stir only enough to mix.
Add strawberries and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until straw comes out clean. Start with 30 minutes.
