Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 c.)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla thoroughly.
    Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
    (For softer, rounded cookies, add 1/4 cup more flour.)
    Stir dry ingredients together; blend in.
    Mix in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned.
    Cookies should still be soft.
    Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
