Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold milk
    2 c. hot milk
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Mix cornmeal and salt.
    Combine with cold milk; mix well.
    Add hot milk and cook until thickened (5 minutes), stirring constantly.
    Beat eggs, then blend in a small amount of cooked mixture.
    Stir into rest of mixture and add shortening.
