Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. molasses
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. each: cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger
    2 tsp. baking soda
    4 1/2 c. flour or enough to roll nicely
Preparation
    Using an electric mixer, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and beat until well mixed. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough and cut into desired shapes. Place cookies on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes, until just firm. Do not overbake. Makes about 5 dozen.
