Betty'S Jumbo Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix
    all
    ingredients,
    except
    raisins
    and nuts.
    Add raisins that have been boiled in 1 cup water for 3 minutes and cooled slightly.
    Do
    not
    drain.
    If dough is too stiff add a little water.
    Fold in nuts.
    Drop by large spoonfuls. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
