1/2 lb. butter
1/2 lb. margarine
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
4 1/4 c. flour
Preparation

Roll
into
balls the size of a walnut.
Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
