Raisin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 yeast cakes
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. walnut pieces
Preparation
    Heat milk to warm.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt.
    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water and add to mixture when it is cooled to 125\u00b0.
    Add 2 cups flour and beat until smooth.
    Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
    Add raisins and nuts and enough flour to make firm dough.
    Knead thoroughly and shape into loaf.
    Place in greased loaf pan and let rise until doubled.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
