Molasses Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    4 tsp. soda in 2/3 c. hot water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. melted shortening
    1 tsp. lemon
    1 c. sugar
    1 heaping tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. ginger
    flour
Preparation
    Mix molasses, soda and hot water, salt, melted shortening and lemon.
    Then add sugar, cream of tartar, ginger and flour to make a firm dough.
    Chill in refrigerator, roll and cut.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
