Ingredients

3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. large pecan pieces (optional)
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine butter Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat egg into cream mixture.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda into mixture until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
Drop dough in a round shape, about 2 tablespoons, 3 inches apart, onto ungreased cooking sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes (for chewy cookies).
Cookies will appear moist.
Do not overbake.
Leave cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen.
