Jessie Evans Smith'S 90-Minute Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. warm water
    4 pkg. yeast
    4 tsp. salt
    8 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. melted shortening
    7 to 8 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1 cup of water.
    Mix in the rest of the ingredients.
    Mix into a soft, but not sticky, dough.
    Cut into 3 pieces; let stand for 15 minutes.
    Pound each piece 1 minute (mallet), then form into 3 loaves.
    Put into greased pans.
    Let stand 35 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
