Potato Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
6 Tbsp. butter or margarine (room temperature)
1 1/2 c. mashed potatoes, chilled
4 scallions
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Lightly grease baking sheet; set aside. In large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.
With pastry blender cut butter until coarse crumbs.
Stir in mashed potatoes and scallions to make a soft dough.
On lightly floured surface knead dough 3 to 4 minutes.
With rolling pin, on lightly floured surface, roll dough 1/4-inch thick.
With 3 1/2-inch round cookie cutter, cut into rounds.
With spatula, transfer to prepared baking sheet.
Bake 25 minutes until golden brown.
Cool on wire rack 5 minutes.
Serve warm.
