Old Fashion Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Martha White self-rising corn meal
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 Tbsp. butter
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
3 egg whites, beating only enough to hold soft peaks
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Pour boiling water over corn meal.
Stir to keep from lumping until cooled slightly and blended.
Stir in buttermilk.
Blend in sugar and soda.
Fold in egg whites.
Pour into greased casserole.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve hot with butter.
