Brown Sugar Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter
    2 1/4 c. (1 lb.) brown sugar
    3 eggs
    2 2/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. walnuts or pecans
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
Preparation
    Melt shortening in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar.
    Cool slightly.
    Then add the eggs and beat well.
    Add flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add nuts and bits and pour into a well-greased pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
